The Commissioner for Water Sources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene in Ondo State, Honourable Ayodele Akande, has been appointed Grand Patron of the Akoko and District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
The honour was conferred on Friday on the sixth Investiture Ceremony of Pastor (Mrs.) Adebolanle A. Debo-Ajagunna as Chairman of the district, held on the Olusegun Obasanjo Corridor of Adekunle Ajasin College.
Akande’s appointment, in accordance with organisers, is in recognition of his distinguished profession as a chartered accountant and his notable contributions to public service.
Talking on the ceremony, the commissioner congratulated the newly inaugurated govt members of the district, led by Debo-Ajagunna, urging them to uphold professionalism and moral requirements in the accounting occupation.
He charged the management to deepen excellence and advance the goals of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria throughout the district.
