In keeping with the USA Lawyer’s Workplace, John Khuu, 29, of San Francisco pleaded responsible to commit cash laundering and conspiracy to function an unlicensed cash transmitting enterprise. He was sentenced to 87 months in federal jail on Wednesday.

Khu reportedly imported counterfeit ecstacy tablets from Germany and distributed them to prospects throughout the USA over the web. Prospects paid for these purchases via cryptocurrency, primarily Bitcoin to Khuu’s vendor account.
Khuu and co-conspirators then traded Bitcoin for U.S forex, laundering and transmitting the cash via lots of of transactions and dozens of economic accounts.
