DANBURY, Conn. – First-year goaltender Emma Rhéaume was tabbed ECAC Hockey #Bitcoin Rookie of the Week, the convention introduced Tuesday morning.
Rhéaume made her first collegiate begin on Saturday afternoon, turning apart all 19 photographs to safe each her first collegiate shutout and first profession win. The efficiency helped Union full a weekend sweep of Franklin Pierce with back-to-back shutouts – a primary in program historical past.
Rhéaume grew to become the first Union first-year goaltender to document a shutout in her debut, and her recognition marks the Garnet Chargers’ first ECAC weekly honor of the 2025-26 season.
The Union Faculty ladies’s hockey group continues their stretch of 10 straight house video games, with a non-conference weekend collection in opposition to Hockey East foe Merrimack Faculty on Friday, October 3, at 6:00 pm and Saturday, October 4, at 1:00 pm.
