Ethereum’s Fusaka improve, which was finalized on mainnet late Wednesday, marks the beginning of Ethereum’s new twice-a-year laborious fork schedule.
Fusaka is designed to considerably improve Ethereum’s scalability and effectivity by introducing PeerDAS (Peer Knowledge Availability Sampling) and growing blob capability for layer 2 rollups.

It boosts the variety of blobs per block progressively in two subsequent “Blob Parameter Solely” (BPO) forks. The primary BPO fork will happen round Dec. 17, growing blobs from 6/9 to 10/15 per block. The second BPO fork on Jan. 7 will increase it additional to 14/21 blobs per block.
