A person arrested in reference to an organised crime investigation, which noticed $410,000 price of cryptocurrency seized, has been charged and is due to look before court immediately.
Gardaí arrested a person in his 20s in Doughiska on Monday as a part of ongoing investigations into organised legal exercise.
He was arrested after Gardaí searched a house in the Doughiska space below a warrant.
As a part of this operation, two cryptocurrency accounts containing $410,000 have been frozen, together with an account at an area monetary establishment holding over €20,000.
The person arrested has since been charged and is due to look before a particular sitting of Galway District Court on Friday night at 5:45pm.
An Garda Síochána have stated that investigations into this matter are ongoing.
