The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) mentioned its personnel have arrested a suspected fraudster concerned in the faux conversion of cash to the tune of N12.5 million.
In an announcement by SC Daniel Aidamenbor, Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State NSCDC Command, the case was reported on the command headquarters by Mrs Linda John, proprietor of Remmy Guest House, Alagbaka, Akure, who alleged that one Akinsanmi Olawale, a 32-year-old male worker of the institution, had engaged in fraudulent actions.
Following the criticism, the suspect was arrested on Might 18, 2026, and an investigation revealed that he, who served because the manager of the guest house, couldn’t account for proceeds generated from the enterprise over a two-year interval spanning 2024 to 2026.
It was additional found that the suspect had allegedly manipulated and falsified the monetary data of the guest house by presenting inaccurate accounts aimed toward concealing the misappropriation of funds.
