No fewer than 27 pupils in public secondary faculties throughout Ondo State have been suspended over alleged acts of misconduct and indiscipline.
The affected pupils have been sanctioned for offences mentioned to contravene the principles and rules guiding conduct in public secondary faculties.
Everlasting Secretary, Ministry of Training, Science and Expertise, Dr. Akindele Ige, mentioned this yesterday throughout an inspection tour of the affected faculties.
He mentioned the disciplinary motion adopted stories of alleged unruly behaviour and different acts of gross misconduct that violated the state’s Code of Conduct for public secondary faculties.
Ige mentioned the choice was a part of the state authorities’s efforts to instil self-discipline and promote acceptable behaviour amongst pupils.
Addressing principals, vice principals and heads of departments in the course of the go to, the everlasting secretary mentioned the sanctions turned needed regardless of repeated engagements with faculty directors and different stakeholders aimed toward curbing indiscipline.
He mentioned a number of warnings had been issued, however some pupils continued to interact in unacceptable conduct.
