AMARILLO (KVII) — An Amarillo man accused of using Bitcoin to access child pornography on the dark web was indicted by a federal grand jury.
Jose Adrian Bosquez was indicted Sept. 9 on one rely of access with intent to view child pornography.
The indictment alleges Bosquez knowingly accessed materials depicting the sexual abuse of a minor from an unknown date via about Aug. 19.
Bosquez was arrested final month after the FBI mentioned investigators linked a Coinbase account in his title to a Bitcoin fee despatched to a web site on the Tor community that authorities mentioned marketed child sexual abuse materials.
Brokers executed a search warrant at Bosquez’s Amarillo dwelling Aug. 19. In accordance to the grievance, Bosquez admitted he used cryptocurrency to access the web site and considered child sexual abuse materials there.
