Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) stated on Sunday that Democrats opposed the CLARITY Act regardless of securing provisions addressing memecoins and different community tokens.

Lummis stated that Democrats had been “apprehensive” about memecoins and requested “specific” protection to stop them from falling by means of “regulatory gaps.”

Lummis has cited partisan divisions over President Donald Trump as the explanation why the CLARITY Act failed its procedural vote final month.
