ChainCatcher report: Web3 asset knowledge platform RootData not too long ago mapped out Stripe’s ecosystem of cryptocurrency companions, systematically presenting its complete panorama spanning from foundational blockchain infrastructure to end-user cost purposes.
Structurally, Stripe has established a closed-loop structure of “three layers of in-house improvement + exterior ecosystem”:
On the foundational layer are immediately owned crypto infrastructure property: Bridge, a stablecoin orchestration platform acquired for $1.1 billion in 2024; Privy, a wallet-as-a-service firm; and Tempo, a payment-focused public blockchain co-developed with Paradigm.
On the intermediate layer, Stripe has deeply built-in with main networks reminiscent of Circle, Coinbase, and Polygon to allow on-chain settlement pathways.
On the outer ecosystem layer, Stripe connects with dozens of crypto platforms together with Crypto.com, Blockchain.com, and Magic Eden, in addition to fintech purchasers like Félix and Dakota that leverage Bridge to allow low-cost cross-border remittances.
Notably, Tempo’s mainnet launched this month, concurrently introducing a “Machine Payment Protocol” designed for AI brokers, alongside internet hosting its first AI Funds Hackathon in San Francisco. This marks Stripe’s crypto technique evolving quickly from “enabling retailers to simply accept stablecoins” towards “empowering AI brokers to autonomously management fund flows.” [View Stripe’s Crypto Partner Network Compilation (continuously updated)]
